A Ha Tinh specialty, Cu-Do candy is a circular confection with a crunchy rice paper coating on the outside, made of peanuts and rice paper. A delicious blend of roasted peanuts, sesame, ginger, cane molasses, and malt powder can be found inside.
Food Trivia
It was known simply as "keo-lac," or peanut candies. Cu-do was once a green tea and peanut candy merchant. He had the bright idea one day to cover the peanut candy with rice paper rather than the customary wax paper that was meant to keep the candies from sticking. As a result, the peanut candy becomes crispier and even tastier.
